Hmm it's possable but you will need to set up a NFS server on windows and a pxe server.
Not simple at all.

I would check out coLinux. http://www.colinux.org/

This virtual machine hosted on Win2K allows you to boot a KNOPPIX distro (CD or Hardrive install on virtual harddrive).

One of those things I would like to do, but don't have time (or a Win2K pc) to try, but supposedly the VM compares quite well with VMWare's VM.

If you try it out, it would be appreciated if you post your results here.

Went to the colinux site, wasnt able to run the executable.
They don't tell me where to get support files, if I need them.
already know about cygwin.dll, but not sure where to even find other files.

perhaps someone can make an installer script to make things easier...??
it'll be better if what eadz said can be made,
rather than using colinux as this might cause instablity and use more resources...

if this can be made,
then i wouldnot need to beg my boss for another linux server...

A newbie question:
Isn't there an additional problem because of the compressed filesystem?
