I try to boot a Samsung P30.
"failsafe" works, but if i enable ALL "no*"-options, it hangs on booting the kernel, somewhere between acpi and scsi, although both are disabled?!

I tried both, 2.4 and 2.6 kernel.

How can i check out, what REALLY hangs it?

Why not do an expert boot, just type expert. Then when it asks what you want to try for your scanning, just load up one or two at at time, and see what doesn't work...
That is the messy way, have you tried it with a diff. res and fb mode? If you look through options, there are a couple that are pretty much for the Laptop.

P.s. You can also see if you start with a runlevel 2 (just use the cheat code '2' and then type 'init 5' after boot and see if that works, it works on one of my old systems that won't boot if I just let it boot normally (makes no sense though, because I don't change any settings).
