Err with KDE Keyboard layout

i am having problems with the kde Hebrew keyboard layout .. when i add it and then click to select it instead of the israeli flag i get a "err" icon and can't write anything in hebrew..
knoppix is installed on my hd..

how do i reinstall the keyboard layouts ??
