Just installed Knoppix 3.4 to my hard disk.
My mobo has IDE2 and IDE 3 connectors for RAID. They are unused.
During boot Knoppix takes a long time trying to access these non-existent drives (3 times each).
Is ther a way to overcome this by editing a config file somewhere?
Also, I had the install update the MBR with the boot menu.
Worked great, gave me choice of WinXP, linux 2.4 and 2.6 kernels.
Unfortunately also added hda2(FAT32) and hda3 (NTFS) data only partitions to boot menu AND REMOVED THEM from Windows view.
I guess that they have been made bootable or some such.
Thankfully I can still access them from Knoppix, though it broke some of my XP program setups.
Any help/ideas appreciated.
