Saving Internet video streams

Hi everyone

a friend of mine needs to save a streaming video featuring himself from a website, can this be done? and if so how?

If you have knoppix installed on your hard drive, do an apt-get install kaffeine. Kaffeine will let you record streams. Depending upon what type of stream it is, you may also need to install w32codecs.

You'll probably also want to install the kaffeine mozilla plugin.
