Hi, just new to Linux. I've played on and off with Redhat and Slackware and have now discovered this Live CD idea so I downloaded and burned Knoppix.
I ran it on my emachine, worked great, but then its a pain to restart my emachine after (some bug in the bios).
Now I've tried it on my lap (Dell Inspiron 5150) works well there too ( and my computer reboots after), the only problem is it doesn't detect my built in wireless card (Dell WLAN 1350). I suppose if I wanted to I could just hook it up to my router and go, that would be easy. I had internet on my emachine (running through the router). I would like to have wireless if possible.
Any ideas how to get it to find my built in wireless? I also have a Linksys Wireless G notebook adapter I could use in place of the built in. Which ever is easier.
BTW...I"m a newbie...so keep it simple please!!
Thanks!!
Minnie
