Hi all,
This might sound like a rather basic question, but I'm getting to the end of my tether. I'm trying to burn the .iso to disc using Nero 6, and no matter what combination of settings I use, or if I do it using Nero Express, I always get a write error around 85% of the way in, when it's finalizing the disc. Should it finalize it? I tried telling it not to, and still got the same error. Does anyone have any ideas on the correct settings and procedures I should be using? Any help would be greatful as I'm keen to try out Knoppix.
Thanks :)

EDIT: The message I always get using Nero is "Could not perform End Track" if that's of any use.

Did you do an md5sum check on the iso file, to see if you got it right? I burned my CD using Nero too, and it's working just fine.

I alway set it on 'finalize' an it works for me. See also: http://www.wizardskeep.org/mainhall/tutor/neroiso.html

M8 ! I don't know much but today I finished burning my CD and works like a charm. If u have got Nero 6 Ultra Edition than the procedure is Open Nero Go to recording : Choose Burn Image , Select Knoppix Image file ( ISO ) Click Burn. You shouldn't need to change any of the Nero Settings just Continue and wait till it's done. If you receive a message saying "there is not enough space ,,,........ Do you whant to finalize CD choose Yes. Don't use any of the Smart Nero or Nero Express use only the Burning Rom the "normal way" Hope it helps u m8! Cheers!

I tried it using this handy tool: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm and it worked first time. Nero also had problems with other CD's and ISO's so I guess my Nero is corrupt :s

Mi Nero 5.2.0.8 (I'm not sure) refuses to bur my ISO so I use Alcohol 120%, and works fine
