In the original 3.4 isolinux.cfg all of the boot kernels have "nomce" as one of the cheatcodes. I have tried booting without this code and didn't see the difference.

Does anyone know what is does or what it stops doing?
Thx

Machine Check Exception is supposed to halt the system when the processor finds faults, which should stop it from corrupting data. If your processor is healthy and runs cool, I suppose it doesn't matter if nomce is passed at boot to stop the selfmonitoring. Well obviously it doesn't matter if it's a default cheat.
