Knoppix Boots - Browser won't connect

I can successfully boot Knoppix on my Intel PC. But when I open a browser in won't connect to the internet via my DSL connection coming in through my USB port.

Please tell me or give me the article references as to how to configure Knoppix and its browsers to access my internet connection.
