Boot options: combining fb with kernel 2.6

Hello,

Is there a way to specify (at the boot prompt) a way to boot Knoppix 3.4 with kernel 2.6 and using the fixed frame buffer mode ?
As an example, "knoppix26 fb1024x768" does not seem to work (skips the fb).
Similarly, "fb1024x768 knoppix26" does not use the "2.6 kernel".

The "Cheat Code" sheet seems to say that the options can be combined.
