hi!
i have an adaptec 7902 scsi controller with a hp dds tape device attached.
so, i boot the knoppix cd (2.4-de), kernel linux24 or linux26. then in the console i do
modprobe aic79xx
to load the module.
the module loads successfully. then i mount my hard drives and try to create a tar archive:
tar cvf /dev/rmt0 /tmp #as example
so, tar says "unrecoverable error, 0 bytes written" :-?
