Hi amimeorb,

Thanks for trying burn-home.

With some work you can make your own
klik type recipies of relatively simple programs.
Unpack the binary debian package in a folder
on /home/knoppix. You will need to edit
path settings to make the programs happy
in their new setting. Let us know if you
get a new recipie script to work.

When you get a DVD burner you might look
at a companion program to burn-home called
grow-knoppix. This makes a new boot-able
DVD with the knoppix version copied plus your added
programs and content. It does not work with knoppix 3.4
yet but perhapes it will be out in a week or two.

Best Wishes

Hi animeorb

The following should work to relaod the CD you made
with burn-home if it is cdrom1

knoppix myconfig=/mnt/cdrom1

You enter this as a cheat code at the boot screen.

To make the CD, place the script
burn-home
on your desktop.
Get it at the downloads from http://grow-knoppix.berlios.de
Follow the steps and burn your CD or CDRW.
If it does not execute, right click properties and make it
executable.

I am sorry, the wiki applies to older versions of knoppix
that allow a boot floppy. It looks like the boot floppy
is a thing of the past. I have made a remaster that
boots wtih the cheat code myconfig=/mnt/cdrom1 so you do
not have to enter anything by hand.

Best Wishes,
