Ive got a problem getting sound out of my computer while running knoppix 5-10 release, english version. the kernal is 3.4
Ive got a pentium 4 1.8 ghz, 256 megs of ram, 80 gig hard drive....
ive had no sound what so ever, switching to alsa doesnt work, non of the cheat codes work...
But i made a random discovery the other day.... I downloaded the german versio, 5-10, and for some reason the sound works perfectly fine... just that everything is in german, and living in Az i have never spoke a work of german in my life.
so this leads me to my question of, how could i make my soundcard work, with out booting knoppix from the german cd. Is there a different driver or plug in that i could use or "nab" from that cd? If anyone needs more info about my pc or problem, i would be more than happy to get it for you.
