Starting NIS services binding to YP Server

Whenever I boot my harddrive install of knoppix it gets to a point where it says, Starting NIS services [binding to YP Server] and takes about 5 minutes to load, it did not do this before, anyway to fix it?

Try this, please:

apt-get remove nis
