I am in the market for a new wireless card. I am new to linux and want a wireless card that will work right out of the box. This card needs to have a port for an external antenna, and let me stress this, must Work out of the box.

This is the last issue keeping me from swithing most of my computing time to linux. I dont pay for the internet and use "borrowed" wifi connections...alot.

If anyone could reccomend a few cards I would appreciate it.

Be advised that most of what you read at linux-wlan was written by users some of which have apparenly no idea as to what they're really talking about. Your best bet is to research, find a few cards taht you think might work and ask questions about specific cards and try to find an actual human that can confirm its ease of installation. Also be aware that hardware manuf. are some dirty dogs when it comes to chipsets. You might buy two of the same card at the same store at the same time and still get two different chipsets. ;)
