debian 3.0r2

I have got the dvd for deb 3r2 and getting lots of errors with dselect and apt-get. Have managed to install some packages usefully. Wondering why seeing this is the latest release, don't particularly want to do a massive upgrade to testing. (I've got a download limit)

suggestions / comments?
