View Full Version : installing Ndiswrapper.

Hey guys i am a newbie and have been using the live cd version for a total of about 5 times but i couldnt use my wireless card, i read about Ndiswrapper and decided i would Hdinstall knoppix and get Ndiswrapper for my system in hopes to be switching to linux. I downloaded Ndiswrapper 8.0? from the sourceforge.net site but i dont understand any of this make install business thing or how to install. could someone please help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys i correct myself by saying it is Ndiswrapper 0.8. i figured out the make install and installed my BCMWL5.inf driver for my belkin wireless car and it registers that the drivers are loaded when i go ndiswrapper -l but knoppix stil say no wireless card found? please help.

also when i type ndiswrapper -l i see bcmwl5 but it does not say present, i read that it needs to say that? and wlan0 does not exist. but it did find 2 or 3 other connections?
