My motherboard is an Asus K8V SE Deluxe, so the cheapest option for me when buying a wifi card was to buy Asus' Wifi@Home thing, which slots into a wifi expansion slot on the motherboard. NOT a PCI slot. This all works fine in Windows of course, but unfortunately when I boot into knoppix I have no idea how to make it even detect my wifi card, or if it's even possible.

So... is it possible? Or will I have to invest in a different wifi card if I want to access my network in Linux?

Bear in mind I have little experience, so try not to say anything too complicated :P

Thanks! :)

I am in the exact same boat -- Asus, while providing drivers for their gigabit ethernet and sound drivers for linux has provided NO support for their wifi@home card, yet.

Very annoying  , so if anyone has a solution on the table, or hints on where to look, that would be great!
