Writing to a floppy

Hi,
I haven't got bought or downloaded Knoppix yet, im still sniffing around at it. I was wondering if you could save the files you create to a floppy or harddrive.

Yes. Though the drives are not mounted by default, just clicking on the icon does the trick. If you want the hard drive to be writeable, you must enable write mode. Note: this does not apply to NTFS (WinXP/2000 optional file system), which is read-only under Linux, but writing is OK with the MS FAT format.
