Newbie: Knoppix 3.2 and persistent home

Hi,

I got a copy of Knoppix 3.2 at CeBIT and even took a couple of pictures of Klaus :-)

But in all this excitment I forgot to ask him how to use the persistent home feature in Knoppix 3.2.:roll:

Could anyone help me out? Thank you in advance!

Okay, I've found out how to do that. KNOPPIX->Configure->Create persistent home...

What seems odd is that "persistent home" and "save configuration" are at least in part redundant - saveconfig saves parts /home/knoppix/.kde whereas "persistent home" saves all of /home/knoppix - not a "clean" concept...

Yup, but saveconfig saves to a diskette whereas persistant home saves to the local hdd, right?

I've never used persistant home, just wondering if it'll save your home only to a linux partition?
