Looking for a quick Newbie guide for Knoppix!!!

Something that simply explains how to set up your WiFi card Internet connection, Creating & Saving files and Folders to a Thumb drive, Install or run a progie from your thumb drive "if possible"... Just a quick reference tutorial for the basic stuff... Like where is the "My Computer" equivalent? How do you retrieve files or folders from your Windows C Drive? Any links or tips??? Thanks

There's an old, but relevant, article called "Computer First Aid Using Knoppix" here (http://www.shockfamily.net/cedric/knoppix/) (it hasn't been updated since 4/03). It talks about how to recover files off a Windows partition using Knoppix.

It doesn't talk about using a WiFi card, but if you use this forum's Search function, you'll find lots of information (http://www.knoppix.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7804&highlight=wifi) about WiFi.

If you have your thumbdrive connected, there should be an icon for it on the desktop,alongside the hard disk partition(s). (You'll have to mount it and change its read-write mode before you can write files to it.)
