(where * is replaced with sd, scsi or sg) might answer your question.

This is my whole dmesg file. Looks like it detects the Flash ok but says that 'possible problems. It may be due to the failure of my PCI Bus. I am going to try using acpi=off option. Thanks for the hint about dmesg
