View Full Version : windows software to configure linux?

i vaguely recall/imagined
that there is some software
that will create a configuration files for xfree86 ....
by querying your windows configuration

does such a beast exist or did i imagine it?
i ask cause my xp system is configured right in terms of hardware/display,
and autodetection doesn't work well for me (and configuring is pain)

Some of the first versions of Lindows claimed they could use some Windows settings for Linux - but that was mostly icons, desktop backgrounds and such.

But the Knoppix h/w detection is exceptionally good. What problem do you have?
