I remember from past distros that knoppix had Gnucash on it. It was a handy little program to have around. I was interested in knowing if it was coming back or if I had just missed it in the current distro.

Any and all help concerning this matter will be greatly appreciated.

I cannot remember gnucash being appart of any knoppix after and including 3.1. It takes up a fair chunk of space.

Gnucash is not present in knx 6.3 but if you have a hd install, it's easily installed with apt.

The reason gnucash is not included by default is that it links in a lot of the gnome libraries which are not included on knoppix by default - and they are huge.

Install to HD and then run kpackage. Do an "apt-get update" then search for gnucash and install it. This is very easy to do and worked for me (on mepis rather than knoppix however - knoppix3.6 doesn't install to HD for me).
