Delete the icon and create a new one. right click --> create new device--> flopyy device --> tab to device and choose from drop down list /dev/fd0(floppy). That should do it. To open select mount and then click on the icon. If that does not work then do:

ln -sf /dev/fd0 /floppy from root.

What type of install did you do?

What did it say when you tried to mount it? right click-->mount

Remember you have to have a disc in the drive to mount it.

The auto shouldn't be there. What does it say in the drop down tab described before?

Post your fstab. Should be in /etc. Devices-->hda3-->etc-->fstab

First open an editor and do this. Must be in root to make any changes to it.
