Well, I did search the forum, but I really couldn't find a complete answer to my question. My question is how hard is it to use knoppix to set up some dumb terminals?

Which is to say, that I'd like to have a system that I boot with knoppix grab the /home dir from another computer via NFS automatically on bootup without needing any input from the user.

There is probably a simple answer to this out there somewhere, but if anyone has experience in this, I'd be glad to hear their thoughts.

I would suggest you to run nxserver on your server and run thin client that support nxclient on client pc.
Thin client: http://pxes.sourceforge.net/ :D :D

I haven't tried this yet but it looks very interesting and it may be what you are looking for.

Thanks for the replies. :)

I had originally held of on the prospect of thin clients (I was hoping for a slightly fatter client), but it's starting to look more and more like that's my only choice, so I'll have to figure out some way around my bandwidth limitations (or rig a custom knoppix cd with NFS). I think that replacing the phoneline network with wifi would probably be a good idea anyway though.
