Does it or doesn't it work - noprompt

i was just trying and trying but did not get it to work.

tried "knoppix noprompt", "noprompt" with oder without "noeject" and so on... but after halting, the system kept telling me:

"please remove cd ...hit key ..." and so...

my idea is that "noprompt" would make the computer turn power off without the need of any user interaction when it's told to halt. right or wrong?

and why does it always ask? i am using version 3.3. thanx in advance...

Check if apm is off in bios. Sometimes knoppix just don't like your mobo.
This problem did happen to me once.
After checking my pc, I found that I had a loosen sound card and memory.
After fixing it, knoppix able to shutdown properly. :D
