Hi,

i got my Prism54 to work just fine with Knoppix3.6 HD-Install (Debian).
Kernel2.6.7 and a self-compiled 2.6.8 show both following strange (to me at least) behaviour:

Every time i try to load a web-page in Mozilla or any other browser i can only see the message "resolving host-name" for about 30seconds.
THEN the page is displayed just fine.
This wait comes again every time i click on a link!!!!!

ping works just great to the same web-server. (100ms)
So the DNS structure should be ok.....

i use static ip-adress 192.168.0.40
Gateway and DNS: 192.168.0.1 (my Netgear router)
Broadcast: 192.168.0.255

Anything that i forgot to configure correctly in order for the DNS to work correctly in conjunction with the web-browsers?
Samba connections work just fine.

On WinXP the web-page loading works just great.

THX for ANY help

Do you have a firewall?

Did you test a ftp-connection?

maybe you need to change mtu.
add the mtu value to your /etc/network/interfaces:
ex:
address xxxxxx
netmask xxxxxx
network xxxxxxx
broadcast xxxxxxx
mtu xxxx
