I have installed Knoppix 3.6 to Hard Drive. The OS still starts up in the KDE desktop without user authentication.
How do I configure the system so that individual's can login to their own KDE desktop with their own system ID, instead of all users sharing the same desktop?
This happened to people using knoppix like hdd installation. To overcome this, read this post:

:D :D :D
I went to the site where pam.np suppose to be, but it seem r.i.p.
You could try make it your own:
#
# /etc/pam.d/kdm - specify the PAM behaviour of kdm
#
# The standard Unix authentication modules, used with
# NIS (man nsswitch) as well as normal /etc/passwd and
# /etc/shadow entries.
# Remove include common-auth line for no password logins
#@include common-auth
@include common-account
@include common-password
@include common-session
auth required pam_nologin.so
auth required pam_env.so
session required pam_limits.so
auth required pam_permit.so
