Hi,
When I boot knoppix 3.6 (English version) on my HP zv5231EA laptop, it boots fine upto the point that it starts accessing the CD-ROM via /dev/scd0. At that point it seems to be reading forever. I waited for aprox 20 minutes. I doubt that is trying to copy the whole cd-rom to RAM as the laptop has "only" 384MB free RAM.
