usb flash drive

I brought a usb flash drive and knoppix recoginises it and I can view files that are on it already, but I can't write to it :x . it says writing to the device is unsupported. Does anyone know how I could write to it, or any other linux distro's that will run from cd like knoppix that i will be able to write to it?

Just on the off chance, are you sure you changed the access to read/write? If Knoppix recognizes it as a disk, the default should be read only...
