Hi

I have a HT machine which seems to be giving me problems with other distros.

I have installed Knoppix 3.6 to HDD with the HT disabled. Now can i install the smp kernel and reboot and enable HT to test it out. Would this be the correct sequence.

Also what is the command to install the kernel, is it dkpg - kernel....... so as to keep my old kernel.

I haven't tried 3.6 myself, but knoppix kernels used to be SMP-enabled out of the box. Simply turn HT on in your BIOS, then reboot - you should see two penguins at startup if all is well...
