View Full Version : Cant use my hda

ive got two hd one is hda which is a fat32 partition and the second is hdc which is an ntfs partition that has my Windows, when i boot it detects both hd. now the problem is my hda which is my fat32 partition becomes a swap partition and is not mounted. im using this partition as a data partition in windows and im planning of using it also in knoppix. help

You need a boot manager. If you have two hds, then running a dual boot system is easy with GAG... See:

Install GAG and keep all windows stuff one one drive and all linux syuff on another. If this means transfering your data from your FAT32 system to your other drive, do it. What GAG does is mount on the first section of eitehr drive. Then it gives you the option as to what system to boot.

What I did is first install Windows fresh on hda, then I installed linux (knoppix) fresh on hdb. After that, I installed GAG on hda... Voila!
