Perhaps the startup script could be augmented slightly to allow the swap file & saved configuration to reside on the same fat32 filesystem?
My laptop is primarily windows and it is a lot of trouble to resize / rejig the partitions for a native linux swap or separate filesystems for this purpose.
I think (without looking into the script - yeah, yeah I know, but it's late and I'm tired) that it tries to mount the filesystem again and fails, resulting in the following message:
Filesystem not autodetected, trying to mount /dev/hda5 with AES256 encryption
