Knoppix is great, especially when it is integrated with P2P sofwares :D
My question is:
how do i get knoppix to play dvds internally?

This is how to get your knoppix to play dvds internally so that you do not have to load up other devices or programs.(in steps)

1. Goto start->run
2. Type regedit then press 'ok'
3.current user open the tree,
4.goto find in one of the menus in the top of regedit and find knoppix.
5.once you have found the key in the knoppix part 'internall dvd player'
6.edit the value to '1' then its activated if 0 then it isnt working.
7.reload knoppix.
8.thanks you.

need any other help look on google mate or gogle or gooogle (.com n00bie)

hope this helps as i like knoppix internal player.

What exactly are you talking about? Are you trying to use Knoppix to watch DVD's on Windows or something? This doesn't really make sense.

This bloke was able to run knoppix from windows and has even have knoppix installed in windows thus the registry search.

Strange indeed!

No sorry i must have confused thou,

the registry entry was from a knoppix dvd player(downloaded from somewhere) that i installed to my harddrive that created a windows registry entry.
You can open it in linux when running but you still get that error for running internally on xp so, make sure the drive is partitioned and that registry entry is changed for the dvd player for linux.

ps. i cant remeber who posted the quote but i was drunken when replying.

If that's true, then you must understand that linux in general doesn't have a registry like windows. Hmm, interesting, apparently, typing regedit in a console brings up wine, and it wants to edit the windows registry or something to that effect from linux. Is that what you're trying to tell us?

This is getting stranger by the minute!
