What exactly is so bad about writing to an NTFS drive in Knoppix?

What kind of data loss can I expect, and why?

Microsoft is trying their best to keep any info about NTFS to themselves. Therefore because of lack of info, linux devoplepers can't be certan that writing won't cause data loss because they don't know how to put the data on the drive.

Basicly you can expect corrupt of the file your writing and mabye even the entire drive. Its really not worth it. However Captive NTFS can alow safe writing. Though there are some limitations (I believe 100 meg limit), and i've never gotten it working to test it.
