I *think* the hidinstall script is still there, but I'm not sure. Everything may have been replaced by "knoppix-installer" now.

In a terminal window, type kn and hit TAB twice. That should give you a list of all executable within the PATH environment that start with the letters 'kn'.

Try "knoppix-installer", either in a root shell or prefaced by sudo. As of v. 3.4 the install script is improved, and has a different name.

The good part is that it is much more versatile, providing the option of three different types of install, and it calls up QTparted for modifying partitions, so it can resize partitions instead of just creating them.

The bad part is that it needs part of KDE to run, so it isn't really good for use in a command-line-only remaster. And the newer versions (3.4, 3.6) are different enough from the previous ones that the old script isn't likely to work without heavy revision.
