Hey,

does anyone know of a freeware multi-desktop utility for windows that performs in the same way as the kde one does on linux.

main features i want is for it to site in the taskbar showing the desktops (clickable) and the ability to drag and drop applications into different desktops.

any help/advice is welcome.

p.s. first post!

Hmmm those look like nice additions to a GUI that is not very user friendly. Have you used any of these apps shah? The 'only one desktop' thing is something I have always detested about windows but often times adding a 3rd party app like this only creates more headaches especially if you go messing about with the windows shell.

I never use any of them, so do I in Linux. Virtual desktop makes my eyes

Try litestep as replacement windows shell. It's opensource and many of the config files are text file ala linux style. Then you don't have to put up with the MS interface if you don't want to.
