Tried to configure the ALi M5457 AC 97 Modem controller and the script locked up in BASH.
This is a PCI device in a notebook PC. No other distro has done as well as Knoppix at hardware detection. Is there some driver I need to get this little nasty going?
I found quite a few answers in this forum on other issues related to this install. This one seems to not be covered.
Oh, why does Firefox lock up when you try to log in? Is it a cookie problem? I had to revert to Conq on this desktop.
