Hi,

the easiest way will be to burn the additional modules to the CD-ROM and write a little knoppix.sh script that loads the additional module(s) from their location on /cdrom with modprobe (this way, you don't need to do a full remaster).

Greetings,

thanks for the answer, but when i try to modify the knoppix image (about 700mb) i say, "read only filesystem" and i can't add modules...

Hi codeforge,

Adding programs to the file call KNOPPIX on the CD and making a new
CD is called remastering. It is not a beginners first project (but I in
no way want to discourage you from trying).

A second approach is to add software in a special way from the internet
after booting from the CD. These additional programs may be added
again each time you restart. They may also be kept on a persistent
home drive. For this approach see probono's project at
http://klik.berlios.de/

My project http://grow-knoppix.berlios.de/ allows one to make a clone
of a knoppix or kanotix from a CD to a DVD and in the process change
some settings and add content and programs on to the new boot-able
DVD. Of course, you need a DVD burner as a second drive.

Welcome to knoppix. I hope this gives you some ideas.

Best Wises,
