Doom 3 and GTA: San Andreas!

On a side note I've never understood the appeal of Halo and Halo 2... Seems like just another FPS to me but this is comming from someone who plays Zork in his spare time :D

My fave game to be released this year is Unreal Tournament 2004.
It's the first game I have installed Knoppix for. :)

Gotta Love the Gore, Flak cannon up close completly blows the torso apart. :D

I have the demo installed in Windows, I tried the linux version but the sounds wasn't working, (my card isn't fully supported).
I have to say Onslaught is my favorite.

Halflife 2 and UT2K4

Didnt know you could run UT on knoppix. Any way to install knoppix on seperate partition and dual boot with Win XP? Even if total reformat was necessary? Thanks

TRow, I have 3 OS on my system.
HDA1 - Win98 Fat16, HDA2 - WinXP NTFS, HDA3 - extended partition, HDA4 - Linux Ext2 (my Knoppix install).
I don't have a boot manager.
In Windows I use Partition Magic 7.0 for partition management and resizing.
Right click on the partiton you want to set active, select the LAST item in the popup menu - Advanced
In the Advanced submenu select 'Set active'
Reboot.
In Linux I use QTParted to do the same thing, but when you initially reboot to Windows, you will see the Debian boot management menu. Using PM7.0 again to select another Windows boot partition will clear the Debian menu.

Unreal Tournament 2004 (UT2004)
It is designed for Linux. There was *NOT* a specific Linux only release. The Linux installers shipped with the Windows version.
Patches for UT2004 are on http://www.icculus.org/

As far as I could find, the only Unreal series game that won't run in Linux is the disgrace to the Unreal name - Unreal II ; The Awakening.

So my copy of UT2k4 has Linux version on it as well? Im beginning to think that Knoppix is for user's who dont like to use a mouse, nor like anything to do with icons and GUI enviroments. Freaking me out to say the least.

TRow, what make/model of mouse do you have?

I have no problems using any of my PS/2 connector mice with any of the window manager GUIs that ship with Knoppix.
Logitech 2 button Compaq branded
Logitech FirstMouse+
M$ WheelMouse Optical

To get the forward/back scroll wheel working in Linux you have to use the startup command:
Knoppix wheelmouse

I don't have one of those multiwheel mice, nor a current M$ with it's side to side rocking scrollwheel.
