install to hd

i have a blank hd and i want to load knoppix to hd so i don't have to boot from cd . i don't want a dual boot. how do i do this.

Run live cd. Then ctrl alt F2 to get konsole window. sudo knoppix-installer to get installer running. Configure and away you go.

ok i tried that
selected hd it knew what the size and make of drive.
and i this error

opened disk read-only you have no permissions to write

anyone have any ideas how to get permissions to write

Is the drive, by any chance, mounted?

I believe the drive needs to be unmounted.
