Network questions

Hello all. I've just installed the latest knoppix (coming from windows), and everything seems ok. I have a few general questions though:

1) How do I access a drive on the network? (i.e. network drive mapping in windows)

2) Is there any way to get a network connection icon in the kde systray (a la windows)?

You need samba for this.
