this is just an idea i just had.
alchohol 120% makes a fake cdrom drive so that you can play games without inserting the cd(not neccicarily games but they are the most comon)
but what if you made a virtual drive of the knoppix cd?
is there any way to boot from this virtual drive?

if so or if anyone has experimented with this please write back.

This virtual drive of which you speak exists under Windows. Knoppix does not run under Windows, it supplies it's own Linux operating system. When you shut down Windows to boot Knoppix, the virtual drive is gone.

Virtual drive depends on the environment of Os you're running....but knoppix is a different thing....it is an OS.
So....knoppix will not boot under virtual drive.

What you can do is get an emulator...........which mimic a pc...and install it in windows.
ex:
VMWare, Virtualpc, Bochs, Qemu...etc.
