Hi
I'm hoping someone can help me with the following problem:
I'm trying to get a Zyxel Zyair B-220 USB to work under knoppix.
unfortunately it didnt work neither with knoppix 3.6 nor 3.7 (kernels 2.4 and 2.6)
in the Infocenter of KDE it is recognized as USB Wireless Adapter
but if I use ifconfig or iwconfig there is only
eth0 (my normal network pci -card)
lo
and sometimes (depending on the kernel)
sit0

What i tried so far is: (as root, of course)
1.)
modprobe prism2_usb
doesn't return anything

2.)
ndiswrapper -i *.inf (with the driver file for win2k and win98)
and then

ndiswrapper -m
(or something like that , to make the modprobe module)
there is still no new adapter in iwconfig or ifconfig

3.) downloaded the linux driver for debian from zyxel
http://www.studerus.ch/files.cfm?action=download&filetype=1&area=3&gr=30&id=12353&lang=d
i cannot compile the driver because there seems to be a mess with the system folders

4.) there is also a hotplug script included in the files from zyxel. but it returns an error

Has anybody an idea how to get this thing working?
i think it should work with the 1st method (modprobe) but do i have to do something additionally to get the device visible for ifconfig and iwconfig?

or should i use wlan-ng ? and how would i use that?

if somebody has the same adapter, and got it to work, let me know
with win2k the adapter is running (but im having irq_not_less_or_equal and last_item_in_work_queue stop errors since then)
