HI,

I have a dell workstation with dual P4 CPUs and dual SCSI hard drives. After booting up from Knoppix, I cannot even see the hard drives. Can anyone here tell me how to mount these SCSI drives? I have tried both v3.6 and v.37 - same results. Thanks!

The SCSI adapter may not be supported by the Knoppix kernel. ou could try the cheatcode knoppix26 to see if using the 2.6.x Linux kernel will support the SCSI adapter. You need to find out the manufacturer and model number of the SCSI adapter (even if it is a chip on the motherboard). There is no other way we can help you without knowing the specs & details of your system. You need to search either this forum or google and see if anyone else has had issues with that SCSI adapter.

Good luck.

HI, James,

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried knoppix26, it even failed to boot up.

How to determine which scsi driver I need? Once I have the driver, how to install it with the knoppix CD?
