VMware 3.20 and Knoppix 3.2-2003-03-30 EN

Can Knoppix be installed and run as a virtual machine through VMware 3.20 Workstation ? Vmware asks for a cd when you setup Linux. I wonder will it accept the Knoppix boot cd and set it up in a virtual machine as it is not listed in supported distributions ? Has anybody tried this ? Can it work ?

Yup. It works fine. I dont even bother with it ona CD. Just point the virtual CD at the ISO image and it works like a charm. very slow though!!!!

I"m running direct from HD :lol:
Just coppied the entire directory \Knoppix to my HD (any FAT/FAT32 partiton) and booted from floppy (image in the same dir). It is very fast! I coul even install flash plugin and saved everything using Persintant Home app
