Knoppix 3.6: Alsa, adusting bass/treble on speakers

Hi;

Does Knoppix 3.6 come with Alsa installed and ready to go?

I ask because my speakers have no hardware controls for adjusting the bass/treble.

Kmixer has no such controls, nor does the gui version of Aumix. The clr version of aumix does, but it seems ineffective.

Is there some other software that I could look at that will adjust the bass on my speakers?
