First of all,greetings!!

Tonight i downloaded Knoppix 3.6,because i decided that i wanted something different from windows, and because of the livecd function it provides,i figured Knoppix would be a safe bet.I burned it,and had checksummed it without errors,so i guess that's not the problem at all. What the problem is,is that i can't boot from my BIOS,period.I have a Dell Dimension 8200,and in the past i've had nothing but problems with trying to boot cd's from my BIOS.Now i did some googling, and came upon the suggestion that, under DOS i should use rawrite.exe which is supposed to be on the Knoppix cd,but sadly,it is not.
I've also read that under linux i should type something like dd if=/cdrom/KNOPPIX/boot.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=18k,or so.But since i don't linux on my comp, this is also not possible at the moment.Does anyone got any other suggestions?I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

Describes a method to boot Knoppix from the iso file on the hard disk, using grub chainloaded from the Windows Boot Loader (so you can add Grub to your windows boot options and then boot to knoppix). You could also use it to just boot the cd normally.
