View Full Version : Cool 4 seconds of techno music on boot up...

When I boot into Knoppix, one of my computers plays 4 seconds of cool techno music just after the lady says "Initating Startup Sequence" and as KDE is just starting configuring.
It plays on ONE of my computers (with a ViBra16x SB) but *not* in my laptop (with an Intel AC97 sound card).

Two questions:

Why does it play for one and not the other? (sound card related?)

What is the file name of sound on the disc?

Long live Knoppix!

I noticed the same thing only after installing to a HD and logging-in as root. Is that normal??

Actually, that's the default "KDE startup sound." Interestingly, it did not play for me until I saved my configuration to floppy.

Same here so I guess that's a "yes" vote?
